Joe Hart has claimed that England deserved to be booed by supporters during their 2-1 win against Hungary. The Three Lions were berated by some fans off the back of their dismal World Cup showing this summer, where they exited at the last 16 stage with a 4-1 drubbing by Germany. The Manchester City goalkeeper was in the final 23 that went to South Africa, but played no part in their four games, but is now expected to take the No.1 jersey as the future of English football. It was very varied. There were an awful lot of people in there and we were very grateful for that because we could well have turned up to an empty stadium. But that shows English fans and how good they are,” said Hart. “Some voiced their opinions, which is fair enough, but some just got behind the team and everyone was happy at the end.” Work to do The goalkeeper, who was making his first start for his country, admitted Hungary made it difficult for England and he knows there is plenty of work to be done ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifiers. “It means the world,” he said of the victory. “You could see that in Stevie’s celebration and the boys’ celebration. It’s only a friendly but they [Hungary] treated the game with an awful lot of respect. They came to get a result and they
